Water Walk 2021

As you know, one of Dr, Gradwell’s passions is supporting the people in the village of Malawi, Africa. He is participating in an exciting challenge and bringing life change to some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Villages in Partnership (VIP), a non-profit working in the remote villages of Malawi, Africa, is hosting its annual Water Walk fundraiser to bring clean water, sanitation facilities, and healthcare to the people of Malawi.

COVID-19 has hit Malawi and it’s more important than ever that we come alongside our brothers and sisters in the villages. They are vulnerable from compromised immune systems, the lack of healthcare facilities and resources, and the inability to wash their hands with soap and water. I am doing this fundraiser with my team as we walk in solidarity with them.
For the past 6 years when my team and I visit the village in Malawi, we have been working in the Maze Mill building that only has electricity to utilize the dental equipment that we brought over the past few years. All of the raised funds will be used to form a medical and dental clinic that will provide more amenities. This is the biggest fundraiser for VIP and I have set a goal to raise $5000 for this incredible cause.
As the villagers prepare to combat this virus, this will help us to better equip them.  The Water Walk live stream event is on Saturday, May 22nd from 7 PM – 8:30 PM Eastern. You can watch the event on YouTube and Facebook Live.

WooHoo! With all the generous donations we received for the Water Walk event, Villages in Partnership met their goal! A huge thank you for all your love and support in helping Dr. Gradwell and his passion for the people in Malawi, Africa! 🥰

What you can expect at your next appointment

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT:
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. We are doing our very best to provide you with the same high level of care and attention to detail that you have become accustomed to receiving at each appointment.
We will continue to follow the sterilization and disinfection guidelines provided by the CDC and OSHA. As you can imagine, these guidelines have changed as a result of the COVID-19 crisis and we are committed to making the necessary changes to follow the new, updated guidelines with additional direction from the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff:
* Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
* You must wear a mask while in our office.
* Taking everyone’s temperature when they enter the office
* Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at one time.
* Continuing personal protective equipment for our team including our front desk staff
* Limiting the number of people who accompany a patient, if you must be accompanied please limit it to one person.
We are doing our very best to get your next appointment scheduled in a timely manner. We respectfully ask that you give us some grace as we work to get everyone seen. We value your trust and loyalty and we are happy to welcome back our patients.
