Over the years, Dr. Scott A. Gradwell and our team have fostered a reputation for providing modern, gentle periodontic and implant dentistry services. Since founding the practice in 1990, Dr. Gradwell has utilized the latest dental technology to ensure each patient receives the highest quality of care. Each member of our capable team is committed to helping you achieve better oral health, as painlessly and efficiently as possible.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays provide us with a fast, comfortable, and incredibly precise way to identify the internal and external structures of your mouth. This technology is an important diagnostic tool and provides us with accurate images. Because these images are digital, it is easier than ever to send your scans to your primary dentist for evaluation.

There are many benefits to this technology, including reduced radiation exposure, instant results, and it doesn’t require harsh chemicals to develop your scans. It improves and simplifies the way we care for your teeth, which results in better evaluations and treatment decisions. We believe using digital x-rays helps you better understand the condition of your mouth and treatment options.

DEKA Laser For Laser Dentistry

DEKA Laser For Laser Dentistry

This type of dental laser is incredibly versatile and offers you one of the safest and most effective treatments today. With this tool, we are able to make procedures virtually pain-free and speed your recovery. Treatments completed using this tool are minimally invasive, have minimal bleeding, and typically require less anesthesia. We utilize this tool for both periodontal and implant treatments.

DentalVibe For A More Comfortable Injection

The DentalVibe System is particularly effective for patients who have a fear of needles and injections. It works by applying a light vibration to the tissues around an injection site while anesthesia is simultaneously applied. The vibrations alter the way the nervous system sends pain messages to the brain, and essentially blocks your brain from sensing the pain from the needle. This makes it a lot less stressful and more comfortable for you!

Intraoral Camera For Patient Education

It is important to us to have you take an active role in designing and understanding your treatment options. Intraoral cameras provide us with a way to show you problem areas in your mouth and explain your treatment options. This system consists of a pen-sized, camera-tipped wand, which is inserted into your mouth and takes videos and transmits the images to a computer. We can then use this to point out any early-stage issues before they escalate into the serious problems. We find this tool helps our patients feel more informed and involved in their periodontal or implant treatments.

Vatech Cone Beam

This is a type of radiography machine which produces both 2D and 3D images. It allows us to produce higher quality scans — and this system features the lowest radiation dosage in the world. Our practice was the first in the area to incorporate this incredible tool into our practice, and it has heightened our level of patient and diagnostic care.

Wound Healing Enhancing Treatment

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used to enhance soft tissue graft healing, help control bleeding, maintain the position of bone grafts, and allow for wounds to seal. This reduces the risk of infection. We have used this procedure in our practice for over a decade and plays an important role in our soft tissue healing after periodontal surgical procedures.
